Conservation

Every photograph taken here supports the ecosystems and species that made it possible.

The pledge

Jonathan Gardner has worked alongside conservation organisations in East Africa for over a decade. The photographs in this archive are drawn from those same ecosystems — the Serengeti, the Virunga massif, the Kenyan highlands.

A portion of every print sale is directed to the organisations listed below. The amount varies by edition; the commitment does not.

A portion of every print sale supports conservation partners connected to the places and species in Jonathan's work.

From the photographer

Conservation photography is only useful if it creates resources for the people doing the work on the ground. The prints are one way to close that loop. I'm grateful to everyone who has bought one.

When you add a print to your collection, a portion of that sale goes directly to the organisations listed here. I choose partners I've worked alongside in the field — organisations I've watched operate at close range, in difficult circumstances, with serious effect.
